COLONIAL BOLIVIA (4 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS)
La Paz-Sucre-Potosi-Sucre-Tarabuco Market-LaPaz
Day 1 LA PAZ – SUCRE Transfer to the airport for a 50 minutes flight from La Paz to Sucre, the legal capital of Bolivia. It is considered to be the cultural centrer of the Americas because of its strong cultural influence from colonial times. Arrival, reception at the airport and transfer to hotel.
Afternoon city tour visiting Sucre's Museums and Churches.
Day 2 SUCRE – POTOSI
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a four hour bus trip, passing the Pilcomayo River. The contrast from the valley to the highlands is spectacular. Potosi, also known as the "Villa Imperial" is located at the foot of "Cerro Rico" (Rich Mountain). With its important silver mineral resources in colonial times it is still a source of economic support for the nation.
Afternoon. City tour of Potosi visiting Museums, Churches and the famous "Casa de la Moneda" (The Mint). Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 POTOSI – SUCRE
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning tour of the mines, which will give you the opportunity to go into the world of the native miners, see their way of working and hear about their beliefs. In the afternoon, return by bus to Sucre (4 hours). Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 SUCRE – TARABUCO MARKET – LA PAZ
Breakfast at the hotel. Early departure for Tarabuco, a colorful peasant town where native dwellers show their hand-made weavings and other handicrafts at the traditional indian market which takes place only on Sundays. Return to Sucre in the early afternoon and transfer to the airport for departure to La Paz. Arrival, reception and transfer to hotel.
