Colonial Towns of Juli and Pomata
Private Services Only These picturesque, unspoilt Colonial towns are both located on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Juli, which is built on seven hills, has four beautiful 16/17th century churches, whilst Pomata is famous for its remarkable red sandstone church, built in the baroque style. This whole area is one of outstanding natural beauty, with views across the lake as far as the snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Real in the Bolivian Andes. Box lunch included.
PUN 302 Uros and Taquile Islands

After visiting the floating islands of the Uros Indians, the boat trip on Lake Titicaca continues as far as the island of Taquile. Members of this self-supporting Aymara community receive visitors in their colourful national costume and show them around the island. Taquile is renown for its fine, decorative weavings. Lunch included. In the afternoon return by boat to Puno.
PUN 303 Puno – Copacabana – Sun Island – Copacabana – Puno

Departure at 6.30 a.m. by bus from Puno to the Bolivian town of Copacabana (3 hours drive). Visit of the town and its Cathedral dedicated to The Dark Virgin. Continue to the Island of the Sun by Catamaran, lunch on board. The first stop is at the South side and includes visits to the Inka Garden, Inka Steps and Water Springs as well as the Sun Island Ethno Eco Complex, where the Kallawaya ancient ceremony will be held. Return by Catamaran to Copacabana and by bus to Puno. Arrival around 17.00 hours in Puno.

Early morning departure from Puno to Copacabana (Bolivia) with a brief look at the famous Colonial stone churches of Juli on the way. Short visit to Copacabana with its church of the Dark Lady of the Lake. After lunch, short visit to the island of the Sun; cross the Strait of Tiquina to the ports of Huatajata or Chua and transfer by bus to hotel in La Paz. Arrival in the late afternoon.
