Arrival at the airport or bus terminal, reception and transfer to the selected hotel.
Visit to the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, located a few kilometres south east of Trujillo. Built of millions of adobe bricks, they are the largest pre-Columbian structures in South America. Interesting coloured friezes are being discovered and can be seen during the visit to the Moon pyramid.
Afternoon visit to the colonial city of Trujillo including the Main Square, Cathedral and several colonial mansions, as well as the Casinelli private museum with a collection of Chavin, Moche and Chimu ceramics.

Breakfast. Morning visit to the temples of the Sun and the Moon, monumental adobe pyramids from the Mochica period and to the restored pyramid of the Rainbow (Huaca del Dragón) and return to the hotel. Afternoon visit to the metropolis of Chan-Chan, ancient capital of the Chimu Empire, built entirely of mud, a few miles outside Trujillo. Transfer to the airport or bus terminal.
